Passionate About Efficient Accounting

I started my accounting career working at one of the Big Four accounting firms in Vancouver. For over four years I worked on both public and private clients in different industries including retail, manufacturing, forestry, not-for-profits, and others.

A few years after obtaining my Chartered Professional Accounting designation, I branched out and worked as an assistant controller for an organic food distributor and retail store in Vancouver. In addition to supervising their accounting teams (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury) I worked collaboratively with several departments to analyze business performance and provide the CFO and CEO with a clear picture of the business operations.

After moving to Squamish, I rounded out my skill set by working for a local tax accounting firm. I prepared both corporate and personal tax returns and assisted private corporations in the incorporation processes.

During my career, I have constantly been reminded of the importance of quality bookkeeping, as it forms the foundation for the accounting and tax work that comes after. With a desire to save businesses time and money by improving their accounting processes, I started Zachara Accounting.
